The forward’s agent, Beppe Bozzo, has already held initial discussions with Toronto officials to hear their offer.

The club are allegedly prepared to offer the player a three-year deal worth €7m, before taxes, in total. They are ready to hand over €6m to Genoa for his services.

Gila, a 2006 World Cup winner, returned to Marassi in the summer after a successful loan spell at Bologna.

He has three goals in nine Serie A games so far this season.
