The Greece international is set to move to Florence after struggling for fitness so far this season at the Friuli.
Giaretta revealed that the move was set to go ahead and discussed the rumours surrounding Bruno Fernandes and Thomas Heurtaux.
"I consider the Kone move to be very good for Fiorentina,” he said to Sport Italia.

“He had several requests, is a Greek international and was one of the best at the most recent World Cup.
"Toro also requested him, but the Viola were more determined.
"For Bruno Fernandes there were some chats with clubs on the same level as us.
"Heurtaux? The truth is there wasn't enough belief for anyone to make a genuine move. He could start against Empoli.
"Is the Udinese market over? Basically yes."
