“It has been a strange week between snow, rain and ice cold winds. Our staff did very well to enable us to train regardless of these conditions.”

Atalanta have in the last 10 days seen their Europa League and Coppa Italia ambitions grind to a halt, so Serie A is now the only remaining target.

“They have a completely different style of football to us and are oriented at troubling their opponents, using one-against-one situations. We need physically strong players tomorrow and it’ll be tough for both sides.

“The players know that we must improve our away record in these final weeks of the season, as we have five fixtures at home and seven away.”
