Emanuele Giaccherini’s agent says the Bologna winger “will return to Sunderland” this summer.
The Italian international joined the Rossoblu on loan this summer, but without a redemption clause in the deal, meaning he will go back to England when the season is over.
“One thing is certain, namely that Emanuele will return to Sunderland when the deal expires,” Giulio Marinelli confirmed to Tuttomercatoweb.

“The agreement with Bologna was a straight loan without a clause. He still has a year’s contract with the English club, who are in a financial position which allows them to weigh-up the best options.
“Of course, talking about his future now is premature and we also have to know if Sunderland will stay up.”
If a deal could be worked out, would Giaccherini like to stay with Bologna?
“There’d have to be an offer. Certainly Emanuele is fine at Bologna and Bologna are pleased with him. We’ll see.”
