Emanuele Giaccherini is remaining upbeat about his side’s chances of qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League.

Juventus have a mountain to climb after drawing their first three games, but he insists they still have a chance of progression.

“We certainly threw two points away on Tuesday as we wanted to overtake Chelsea in the standings,” he said of the 1-1 draw at Nordsjaelland.

“We couldn’t get the victory and the changing room was subdued after the game, but we created a lot of chances – we just didn’t take them.

“Mistakes do happen, but it’s not all over just yet – even if we now have to think about the championship again.”

Juve have two home games in the Champions League coming up against Nordsjaelland and Chelsea.

They are at Catania this weekend.
