“I think everyone is a first choice in this team, we are all at the disposal of the Coach and whoever plays we must be happy for our teammates. We all know next time it could be our turn.
“It would be a huge mistake to assume there is a decided first choice XI. We are all in the running and can push our way in or out of the line-up for every match.
“We must maintain this attitude. I am happy that on the outside they don’t consider us to be favourites, as it’s what happens on the field that counts.”
Thiago Motta was jeered by the Stadio Bentegodi crowd when substituted.
