The Brazilian joined the Giallorossi from Fluminense in a €15m move last winter, but didn’t actually join up with his new club until this season.
Given that the 19-year-old has played just 14 minutes in Serie A, it has been rumoured that he will be sent out on loan in January.
However, the player himself has taken to Instagram to clarify his position, insisting he’ll be staying at Stadio Olimpico.

“I’m only in my first few months in Italian football,” Gerson pointed out.
“I’m getting better, thanks to the facilities the club have made available. I want to clarify that there’s no negotiation for a loan to another club, and I’ve never thought about leaving on loan.
“My goal is to help Roma this season.”
