Georgia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili trolled Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia during a training session with the national team: ‘Not here, you can score in Italy.’
Georgia begin the qualification path to Euro 2024 on Tuesday in a home match against Erling Haaland’s Norway.
They beat Mongolia 6-1 in an international friendly on Saturday.
All eyes are on Napoli star Kvaratskhelia, who has taken Serie A by storm this season with 12 goals and 12 assists in 23 appearances in his debut season in Italy’s top flight.
However, during a training session last week, his compatriot Mamardashvili made life difficult for the 22-year-old, saving one of his shots during practice.
As shown by journalist Dachi Tsurtsumia on Twitter, the Georgia keeper denied Kvara and then trolled him immediately after: “Not here, not here, you can score in Italy.”
