Davide Ballardini confirms Genoa will make changes for the Coppa Italia match with Crotone – “it’s fair to give space to those who have been seen less”.

The Grifone face Davide Nicola’s side tomorrow in the fourth round, but with a trip to Verona to come on Monday there will be rotation.

“Genoa have a big squad, I think it’s far to give space to those who have been seen less in the league,” Ballardini said in his pre-match Press conference today.

“All the players are capable. We’ll have to be humble and play well in both phases of play. Everything we’ve done so far is cancelled, because right now all that matters is Crotone and the Coppa Italia.

“Crotone have a well-defined style of play, they’re organised and dangerous, especially if we give them space. They’ve caused problems for everyone, it’ll be that way tomorrow night too.”

Giuseppe Rossi is set to sign for the club in the coming hours, but the Coach wouldn’t be drawn on that topic.

“I know him well, but I’d rather talk about the players who are signed.”
