Genoa have beaten Sampdoria to the signing of Verona’s Daniel Bessa, with a medical reportedly scheduled.
Both Genoese sides were looking to sign the 25-year-old, who has one goal and one assist in 17 Serie A appearances so far this season.

Born in Brazil but with Italian ancestry, Bessa came up through the Inter youth system.
