Genoa are reportedly in talks for Trabzonspor forward Caleb Ekuban, who was born and raised in Italy, so is no stranger to the world of Calcio.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the negotiations are in progress between the two clubs and Genoa hope to do a deal for circa €2m.

Ekuban is a 27-year-old Ghana international with three goals in nine senior caps.

However, he is no stranger to Italian football, as he was born and raised in Italy to Ghanaian parents, in Villafranca di Verona, and came up through the Chievo youth academy.

Among the clubs he represented in the Peninsula are Chievo, Lumezzane and Renate.

He also played for FK Partizani Tirana, Leeds United and moved to Trabzonspor in 2018.

Playing primarily on the right side of attack, but able to take a more central or left role as well, he scored 11 goals and provided four assists in 33 competitive games for Trabzonspor this season.
