This afternoon though, the club has hit back with a strongly worded statement denying the story’s validity.
“President Enrico Preziosi categorically denies that he has announced his intention ‘not to sell’ the club anymore, as was incorrectly reported today by the local online edition of a Press organ, with the byline of the usual journalist who continues to spread misinformation while demonstrating little credibility.
“He also calls for, as if it were needed, people not to follow the so-called news of this gentleman.”
