Genoa’s injured midfielder Juraj Kucka has called on his side to remain professional between now and the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Slovak suffered a cruciate ligament injury in December and has been out of action ever since but maintains the Rossoblu still have work to do to guarantee Serie A football for next season.

“We are playing well at the moment,” Kucka told Corriere dello Sport. “We must not stop though and think that we are more or less safe.

“It’s important to get the points we need to guarantee safety, but also to finish as high as we can in the league.

“The team is showing quality and determination.

“Tomorrow’s game with Catania will be one without much space but a victory would be extremely important.”
