The news came after the 6-0 defeat to Napoli at the San Paolo and Genoa’s game against Torino this weekend is in serious doubt.
The FIGC protocol doesn’t provide a minimum number of players infected to automatically postpone the Serie A match, but with over one third of their members out with COVID-19, Genoa are not expected to host the Granata.
However, Torino must accept the request to push the game for a later date.
“Now I understand the collapse in the second half [against Napoli],” Faggiano told Il Secolo XIX.
“Now, let’s see, I think we will ask for the postponement. We can’t train.”
