Hernan Crespo has applauded Inter's decision to replace boss Leonardo with Gian Piero Gasperini.

The latter worked with Crespo during his six-month stint at Genoa before his January 2010 move to Parma.

"I think that Inter will gain a lot following the arrival of Gasperini," the veteran Argentine told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"He's one of the best Coaches that are around. As soon as Inter understand his methods then they will take a step up in quality."

Crespo, a former Nerazzurri player, will take on Gasperini's Inter next season after he signed a new one year contract with Parma last night.
