Palermo director Pietro Lo Monaco has made it clear that his club will not consider the dismissal of boss Gian Piero Gasperini.

Whispers continue to suggest that the tactician, who only replaced Giuseppe Sannino after Week 3, could be axed given the club’s continual struggles.

“These rumours are intolerable, they show a lack of respect to us as a club,” the former Catania and Genoa official stated.

“Our objective for this year is to survive in Serie A and we intend to achieve that with this Coach. Gasperini is one of the best tacticians in Italy…”

Palermo are in relegation trouble after collecting just 11 points from the 39 on offer so far. Gasperini has won only two games since his arrival.
