“It was a great victory, we played very well,” Gasperini said in his post-match interview.

“We had a lot of shots and we created a lot. It wasn’t easy against a physical Chievo but we played well for the whole 90 minutes.”
Atalanta have now won three of their last four matches as they look to repeat last season’s achievement of qualifying for the Europa League.
“Overall we are in a good moment. We are in a good position, it’s clear that in an evenly balanced League it’s difficult.
“It’s hard for anyone to win, there are a lot of teams who are separated by a few points.
“We are happy with where we are, we need to stay there as long as possible.”
