The Biancocelesti won 3-1 in France, a result which puts them five points clear in second place with three games to play.

“Lazio deservedly won,” Garcia, a former Roma Coach, admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“We did a lot of things wrong, we suffered with the pace of [Ciro] Immobile and [Felipe] Caicedo in attack.

“Now we are almost eliminated from the Europa League, but as long as it’s not mathematically certain we’ll keep fighting.

“Lazio defended very well but we were sterile in attack and not solid enough in defence. I’d say it was the worst possible scenario.

“[Dmitri] Payet’s goal gave us confidence, but [Adam] Marusic finished it immediately.

“We were all angry at the end of the match but we have to look forward, we have a difficult game against Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday and we have to react.

“Lazio fought hard on the pitch and that was the difference. We have to fight even more if we want a good result on Sunday.”
