With Roma facing arguably their biggest match of the season tomorrow night, Coach Garcia was asked in his pre-match Press conference whether De Rossi would be able to play.

“These things which have nothing to do with what happens on the pitch came out even before the Inter game,” the Frenchman told reporters.

“I am Daniele’s Coach, both as a player and as a man. These things for me are not even one per cent important.

“I have to stand behind my players to make sure they’re in the right mental condition. My approach should be taken by everyone who loves football and talks about football.

“Daniele is fine. We won’t have him for the Genoa game, but he’s a very important player, a great champion and a crucial figure in the dressing room.

“He’s played over 100 times for Italy, he’s a champion both on the field and in life.

“All my players are ready for a game like tomorrow. There are some who have more experience, but everyone can give their contribution and help Roma qualify tomorrow.”
