Alessandro Gamberini says Chievo's defensive record is the result of long-term work, while praising Fiorentina's project.
The Viola have the best defence in Serie A at the moment, but the Gialloblu are just behind them, having conceded only five goals in seven games.
“I wouldn't talk about our defensive work as much as teamwork,” the defender told Sky Sports Italia. “We started well, but this is a process of growth that began years ago.

“We're certainly not short of experience. In terms of age we may even be a bit too old, but my team is doing very well.
“And I met [Dario] Dainelli and [Massimo] Gobbi again, who were my teammates at Fiorentina.”
Gamberini then discussed the derby with Hellas Verona, which ended 1-1 in Week 7.
“It was a very passionate match, you could feel it in the air in the city as early as the week before.
“We started out contracted, we were too tense. We conceded a goal, but in the final minutes we earned the draw.
“The group is united, we never changed much. Personally this is the first time that I see such a cohesive changing room.
“I found an environment that allows me to work calmly and with a clear head.”
Finally, the 34-year-old discussed his former team Fiorentina.
“They have a first-rate squad, and quality players. Behind them lies an ambitious project that has been well developed.
“Their investments are intelligent and aimed for the long-term, even in terms of their sales. [Juan] Cuadrado was replaced.
“For the Scudetto I think the competitors are Juventus, Napoli, Roma, Fiorentina and Inter.”
