But the Rossoneri vice-President has insisted that the attacker will stay at San Siro after having a meeting with the player's representatives this afternoon.

“We are talking with Robinho about a contract renewal,” he told reporters. “I can categorically exclude any suggestion that the player will leave.

“The Brazilian transfer market closes on Saturday so there are no possibilities for a move.

“Robi is happy to stay at Milan.”
