Adriano Galliani refuses to rule out a potential Monza move for ex-Atalanta star Papu Gomez.
The Argentina international is available as a free agent after terminating his contract with Sevilla on the deadline day. This means he can join any club as a free agent even if the summer transfer window is closed for European clubs.
Monza are one of the clubs linked with signing the 35-year-old.
“You are the ones talking about it,” Galliani told reporters on Monday before a Lega Serie A meeting.
“I’ve always worked in the world of communication, so I don’t deny it. I don’t know if he [Papu] wants to join us, I haven’t talked to him. The last time we spoke, it was to have the name of a good restaurant in Sevilla.”
