There are growing reports of problems between Napoli and both Celta Vigo and midfielder Gabri Veiga, putting the transfer in doubt.

He had been expected to fly out today so that he could undergo a medical at the Villa Stuart clinic in Rome either on Monday or Tuesday.

However, Veiga remains in Spain and Relevo, Sky Sport Italia along with others warn there are several different problems stalling the deal.

They had seemingly agreed the transfer for €30m plus up to €6m in various add-ons, close to the €40m release clause in his contract.

It is rumoured the main problems that emerged were familiar ones for Napoli, namely the signing over of all the player’s image rights to the club.

This is a clause that President Aurelio De Laurentiis, whose other job is a Hollywood movie producer, insists on with his football contracts and it has stalled moves in the past.

Sky Sport Italia also report there are issues between the two clubs as well, with some tense messaging between them over the last 24 hours.
