Manolo Gabbiadini will reportedly remain at Napoli despite rumours of unrest, while the club are closing on Torino defender Nikola Maksimovic.

Gabbiadini’s agent Silvio Pagliari had warned on Tuesday that the Partenopei could lose the forward if he continued to sit on the bench.

But despite reported interest from Inter, Gazzetta dello Sport has today ruled out the 23-year-old’s departure.

The paper believes that the former Sampdoria man has received assurances from Partenopei Coach Maurizio Sarri that he is considered a fundamental part of the Vesuviani front line.

Gazzetta has also reported that there has been contact between the club and the player’s agent Pagliari in order to put the matter to bed.

Meanwhile, Corriere del Mezzogiorno has reported today that there is now €2m between what is being offered and requested for Torino’s Maksimovic.

Granata President Urbano Cairo is believed to be demanding €20m for the Serbia international, while Napoli’s bid currently stands at €18m.

However, the report says that an agreement has already been found with the player for a five-year contract worth €2m plus bonuses per season.
