Manolo Gabbiadini said Napoli’s Coppa Italia semi-final first leg draw at Lazio is “worth its weight in gold.”

He cancelled out a Miroslav Klose opener, while both teams rattled the woodwork during a 1-1 stalemate at the Stadio Olimpico.

“It’s important to get a draw and score away from home. Considering the way the game was going, it’s a draw worth it’s weight in gold,” Gabbiadini told Rai Sport.

Lazio did better in the first half and are a strong side, so we did well to fight back with a different attitude after the break.”

The second leg is at the Stadio San Paolo on April 8.

“What are our chances of qualifying? I don’t know, I’ll tell you next month.”

Gabbiadini has scored 14 competitive goals this season, five of them since joining Napoli from Sampdoria in January.

“I can put it in the net or my teammates, it doesn’t matter as long as Napoli score. We have a tough game every three days this month, so we have to keep pushing.”
