Diego Milito broke the deadlock at the dawn of the second half by turning in Marco Faraoni’s assist.
Moments later Chievo had equalised through a Cyril Thereau daisy-cutter, then Davide Moscardelli turned the game around completely with a classic free kick.
Moscardelli netted again in stoppages with a wonderful solo effort after skipping past Faraoni and Andrea Ranocchia.
Giampaolo Pazzini pulled one back on Davide Santon’s cross, but it was too late to rescue Inter from defeat.
