Paulo Fonseca is satisfied with Roma’s 3-0 win over Brescia and having Nicolò Zaniolo back on the scoresheet. ‘We are more aggressive with three at the back.’

The shift to a three-man defence seems to have revitalised the Giallorossi, who have now won two on the bounce.

“It was important to win here today. We put in a good performance, it was important to maintain fifth place,” said the coach in his press conference.

The shift to a three-man defence seems to have revitalised the Giallorossi, who have now won two on the bounce.

“It was important to win here today. We put in a good performance, it was important to maintain fifth place,” said the coach in his press conference.

“We are more aggressive with three at the back and it gives us the opportunity to press higher. There are many areas where we can improve, but victories are good to boost confidence. We created a great deal and should be more clinical in front of goal.”

Zaniolo came off the bench and scored his first goal since tearing his ACL in January.

“Zaniolo is an important player, so we use him when we can, but there isn’t much time to get players back to full fitness with regular minutes. I like that we scored three goals today and didn’t concede any, but we could’ve got more. I am satisfied.”
