Alessandro Florenzi is philosophical after failing to win the Puskas Award, but won’t discuss Rudi Garcia.

The Italian international came third in FIFA’s goal of the year award against Barcelona, but wasn’t keen to discuss rumours the Coach will be dismissed.

“There are so many great players here,” Florenzi told Sky after coming third for the award behind Lionel Messi and winner Wendell Lira.

“It was a wonderful day, and I was calm like a kid going out to play. I accept the result, I’m just happy to be here and I’ll try to score an even better goal.

“Messi? We said hi, everyone was very nice. We’ll meet some of them [Real Madrid] soon in the Champions League, so I hope to score a goal then.

“Garcia? I’m just thinking about enjoying this evening. Tomorrow morning we’ll return to work, which is the only way to win.

“The Scudetto? Why not believe it?”
