SuperMario was raised in Brescia and his adoptive family still lives there, so it would make sense for him to play at the Stadio Rigamonti.

However, Brescia released a statement this evening warning against “inappropriate information that damages the transfer activity the club could conclude and reduces the probability of success.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest Balotelli and agent Mino Raiola are having dinner with Flamengo directors in Monte Carlo tonight.

The Brazilian club are prepared to raise their offer to include a €10m signing on fee and a salary worth €3.6m per year.
