Tottenham Hotspur's Erik Lamela says tomorrow's game against Fiorentina takes priority over the Capital One Cup Final against Chelsea.
Spurs have a challenging schedule ahead of them and many believe that Sunday's upcoming final could distract them from tomorrow's Europa League clash against La Viola.
Lamela, speaking in today's Press conference alongside manager Mauricio Pochettino, insisted that the two matches were being treated separately.
“It's going to be a different game, also important,” he said of the Cup Final.
“But first we've got to play tomorrow's match and win it, aiming to give our best.
“I couldn't say what our odds of making it to the Last 16 are, we've got to play it and see.
“It's an open game for both teams, but we'll do our best.
“The idea of winning the Capital One Cup and aiming for fourth place is ambitious, but that's how things are for all teams.
“We can do well. It's up to us. We're trying to improve as a team, and we're doing it.
“Sometimes we are tired, but there are a lot of players in our team and this helps us a great deal.
“Would I rather win tomorrow or on Sunday? Tomorrow – and then again on Sunday.”
