The Argentina international was surprisingly left on the bench for last night’s 1-0 Serie A win over Milan, although he did come on as a substitute and promptly provided the assist for Rodrigo Becao’s goal.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport writer Nicolò Schira, negotiations with Fiorentina are not progressing quickly enough.

The offer on the table is €25m and Udinese have raised their asking price to €35m cash after De Paul’s very impressive Copa America performances for Argentina.

Meanwhile, the player’s agent is close to agreeing a five-year contract worth €1.5m per season plus performance-related bonuses.
