Prandelli was the best Fiorentina manager of the Della Valle era as the Serie A side managed to play Champions League football in the 2009-10 campaign under the former Italy coach.
According to the report, Prandelli would accept to sign a contract until the end of the season with Fiorentina that aim to appoint a new coach in the summer.
Maurizio Sarri and Luciano Spalletti remain serious candidates for the role but they would only take the job from the beginning of next season, leaving Fiorentina in need of a caretaker if Iachini will be sacked.
