Do they fear a club will come in and pay the clause on the last day of the transfer window?

“In modern football this risk exists, but as a club we are prepared for any eventuality,” Guerini told Sky Sport Italia.

“There is absolutely nothing on right now, he renewed his contract recently, is very happy to be here and has a large buy-out clause.

“If someone were to come in and pay the clause, we as a club would have a contingency plan to replace him.”
