Fiorentina paid the price for not building on Marco Benassi’s goal as Andrea Pinamonti fired in a late equaliser for Frosinone, and Pioli made it clear the Viola ‘aren’t good at killing games off’.

“We’re not good at killing games off,” the Coach said after his side’s fourth straight 1-1 draw.

“Either that or you have to know how to keep the ball. If you leave games open, one lapse is enough for the three points to slip away from you.

“We created a lot, even if Simeone didn’t have that many chances. The goals will come for him, but he must keep working. We must think about scoring more.

“We have to learn from our mistakes. Their goal came from a ball we lost, so we must work on improving these situations.

“We had to manage the tempo of the game better and we didn’t always succeed. Our growth also passes through these things.

“The front three must improve and find more of an understanding on the field.”
