Fiorentina have missed out on Rodrigo Bataglia after the midfielder opted to stay at Sporting CP.
Battaglia’s agent revealed earlier in July that Fiorentina wanted the Argentine, but a tweet from Sporting on Saturday confirmed he had re-signed with the club.
Calciomercato.it reports the news will also come as a blow to Sampdoria, as well as Spanish sides Levante and Celta Vigo.
