Fiorentina are being linked with a potential January swoop for Chelsea loan flop Radamel Falcao.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Viola asked about the Colombian forward’s availability.

The 29-year-old Colombian is still owned by Monaco and spent last season on loan at Manchester United, while Chelsea have also so far failed to get him back on form.

Other clubs interested in Falcao for January include Valencia, Villarreal and his old club Porto.

The major problem with this plan is that Fiorentina would not be prepared to cover his wages for six months.

The Tuscans, who are surprise Serie A leaders for the first time in 16 years, keep a very tight budget and have been lowering the wage bill in recent years.
