Fiorentina are in pole position among the teams interested in Palermo striker Massimo Maccarone, according to the player's agent Paolo Fabbri.
Earlier this month, Palermo told Maccarone that he is up for sale even though he has only been at the club for half a year.
Asked about reports of Fiorentina being linked with his client, Fabbri said: "I can only say that the Viola are on the list of teams interested in Maccarone.
"I could also say that they are in pole position but at the moment we awaiting Maurizio Zamparini's decision.
