Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will not return to Inter during the summer, Nerazzurri official Luis Figo says.

The Portuguese tactician, who led the Italian side to the Treble in 2010, has been linked with a move back to San Siro.

“It would be impossible for that to happen now,” the former winger told Cadena COPE in an interview.

“The fans want him because he left a good impression in Nerazzurro, but the second time is not always as good as the first.

“If he leaves Real this summer then it will be because he wants to, but, as a Madrid fan, I hope that he stays.”

Figo, formerly of Barcelona and Real, now works as an ambassador for the Beneamata after ending his career there in 2009, but he has hopes for a different future.

“I don’t want to get into coaching right now, but I won’t close that door,” he continued. “I’d like to take charge of a big club.”
