The FIGC has announced that it supports Serie A’s stance on a Super Champions League. “We’re against its creation.”

Serie A has already warned that it will go on strike if the competition goes ahead, and FIGC President Gabriele Gravina confirmed his organisation would ally with the League.

“We’re against the creation of a Super Champions League,” he told reporters.

“We’re against the creation of a Super Champions League,” he told reporters.

“Leagues must always be played at weekends and accessed through individual national competitions.

“We won’t sacrifice the value of our national football to the detriment of interests linked to individual subjects.”
