The FIGC has drawn up plans to resume league football in Italy, which will see Serie A kick off again first. 

ANSA reports FIGC President Gabriele Gravina spoke to a medical-scientific panel put together by the governing body this afternoon.

During their conversation, it was agreed that there would be a staggered resumption, with Serie A first, followed by B and C.

As per the news agency, this consensus is “to facilitate the proper conduct of all necessary exams, including swabs, thereby safeguarding teams and professionals.”

“This procedure reiterates that we’re not looking for preferential lanes,” Gravina was quoted as saying during the meeting.

Although Italy continues to grapple with COVID-19, the nationwide lockdown is expected to be eased on May 3.

As part of that easing could be training activities for sports clubs.
