Massimo Ferrero says ‘enough is enough’ after accusing Gianluca Vialli’s consortium of ‘embarrassing’ Sampdoria and holding up their transfer strategy.

Ferrero reportedly told his fellow Serie A Presidents that he had sold the club to Vialli and his group of investors for €140m, but the President seemed to deny making such remarks.

“I can confirm that the shareholder Holding Max has expressed the will to sell the club with no ifs or buts, although at the same time I stress that, from the start of negotiations, its economic demands have never changed,” he told ANSA.

“The truth is that others are thinking of buying the club for a different price, which isn’t representative of the true value of the team, in turn activating harmful mechanisms.

“This situation is embarrassing our entire board, with the season about to start. They cannot operate freely, given the usual constraints linked to a sale.

“For this reason. I say enough is enough and I invite the other party to make its offer public, so everything is clear and transparent and that fans can understand the situation better.”

The Blucerchiati have been busy in the summer transfer window but have not done any business since signing Jeison Murillo three weeks ago.
