Italy’s Under-21 side are running away with qualification for the European Championships and saw off Hungary 2-0 this evening.
“It wasn’t easy today and the game was very difficult considering the way our opponents were set out,” said the Coach.
“We did not allow Hungary anything, even if there were moments of pressure, while we scored two great goals and created other chances too.
“I want to thank these lads, as they work very hard and are exemplary professionals. At times I have to make painful decisions and leave some players out, but this has been an excellent 2011 for us.”
