Felipe Melo has made it clear that he would like his loan move from Juventus to Galatasaray to become permanent.

The Brazilian joined the Turkish giants during the summer after a temporary agreement was reached with the Old Lady.

“It’s practically impossible to see me wear the Bianconeri shirt again,” the 28-year-old is quoted as saying. “I don’t want to go back.

“I always did my best for the team, but the Juve fans criticised me and that was a difficult period to live through.

“I absolutely want to stay at Galatasaray,” he continued. “I love this club, the fans appreciate me and I am finally happy.

“Istanbul is a modern city and a beautiful place.”

The midfielder joined Juventus in the summer of 2009 after the club agreed to pay Fiorentina €25m for his services.

He moved to Galatasaray in July in a €1.5m loan deal. The Turkish club could keep him by paying a further €13m at the end of the season.

Felipe Melo’s contract in Turin expires in June 2014.
