Lazio Coach Edy Reja admits that young midfielder Felipe Anderson is currently lacking in confidence but insists he has every faith in the player.

The 68-year-old was speaking at his pre-match Press conference ahead of his side’s Europa League tie with Bulgarian side Ludogorets.

“He is lacking a bit of confidence,” Reja told the journalists gathered. “But during the week he shows the qualities he has.

“Now he has to take advantage of the chances he gets in matches.

“If he plays tomorrow we will also see his personality.

“He maybe has a little bit of fear about making mistakes but he mustn’t think about this because he has all the trust of his teammates and coaching staff.”

The tactician then discussed his team’s chances against their little known opponents.

“We need to respect the match and do all that we can to get through the tie.

“We are up against a difficult team, I’m hoping to put out some of the team from Sunday’s match but also with some fresh faces.

“We have a game every three days at the moment and we need to thoroughly assess the condition of the players.

“It’s impossible to think that everyone can play every three days. All of the teams are rotating, even those in the Champions League.

“We will probably play 3-4-3 but I need to assess Candreva this afternoon, and Klose.

“If they are fine and I am able to I will probably play at least one of them.

“If not, I have Keita, Perea and Felipe Anderson who will look to come in and take advantage.

“Ludogorets are a good, well organised team. Without a good performance we will not get through this tie.

“I want us to score at least twice tomorrow evening.”
