“It was an exciting ending,” Farris told DAZN. “They put great pressure on us for 70 minutes, then they tend to stretch.

“It was an exciting ending,” Farris told DAZN. “They put great pressure on us for 70 minutes, then they tend to stretch.
“The team have been very good at absorbing this pressure. In the first half we had some chances and we knew it would be difficult to create with continuity.”
Farris had no doubts about what Lazio’s greatest merit after the narrow win at the Olimpico was.
“It was humility,” he said. “They come to play with their non-trivial concepts, and if you’re not careful, they will hurt you.
“Without humility, you don’t win these games.”
Inzaghi’s assistant then explained why Adam Marusic played in the defensive trident.
“It’s a calculated risk. It was a particular week, with several absences,” he continued. “Marusic made himself available and we knew that we had to alternate two forces at left.”
Luis Alberto got some time in the second half, despite having feared a long spell out due to an injury he suffered in training.
“He showed commendable commitment. The injury seemed severe,” Farris explained. “But he did therapy 24/7 and was well looked after by our staff.
“This morning, in the last minute, when we no longer believed in it, he gave us the green light to be on the bench.
“For us, there are 10 Finals from here to the end if we want to reach the Champions League.”
