The Udinese attacking midfielder came off the bench as a late substitute during the 2-1 friendly defeat in Berne.

“It was wonderful. Without doubt these have been the three most important days of my career so far, as the Nazionale is the objective of all players. I’m very happy,” smiled Fabbrini.

The former Azzurrini international only turned 22 last month and is one of several players to have been promoted to senior level.

“I already played with Manolo Gabbiadini at Under-21 level, so we knew each other well,” the ex-Empoli man continued.

“I hope to play this season so I can make an impact, improve and earn the confidence the Coach has put in me.”
