The 33-year-old striker had been left out the starting XI by new boss Gian Piero Gasperini for his first two games in charge, sparking rumours the former Juventus” data-scaytid=”10″>Juventus man could leave the club in January.
But the 62-year-old administrator has calmed fans of the Rosanero by claiming that the goalscorer will put pen-to-paper soon.
“There are no problems with Fabrizio,” he told tuttomercatoweb.com. “[Renewing his contract] is a task that falls to [new CEO Pietro] Lo Monaco, but he'll figure out the right to time talk and sign a new deal.
“I expect Miccoli to stay with us – he has told me himself.”
He also commented on the team's recently appointed chief executive, calling him a genius in the transfer market.
“Lo Monaco is a great expert at signing players. At Udinese” data-scaytid=”19″>Udinese and Catania he produced some masterpieces – he discovered unbelievable talent and lead teams to exceptional levels.
“We expect him to be able to do the same thing at Palermo.”
Micciche concluded by remarking on the Sicilian club's next match against Torino, as well as the performance of boss Gasperini.
“The team seems to have changed with the arrival of the Coach,” he said. “There has been a turnaround, and some great play.
“The draw with Genoa was outstanding, as was the victory against Chievo. For the match with Torino, we are moderately optimistic of a good result.”
