Lazio were given a tough task in the Europa League 2021-22, as Maurizio Sarri’s men face teams like Olympique Marseille and Galatasaray in Group E, while Napoli prepare for a tough trip to Leicester City in Group C.
The two Italian teams were in the favourable Pot 1 ahead of the draw but are still up against tough opponents in the group stage of the Europa League.
Maurizio Sarri’s new side Lazio were placed in the bottom half of the draw and placed in a tough group with Lokomotiv Moscow, Olympique Marseille and Galatasaray.
Napoli prepare for another season in the Europa League and are up against Leicester, who narrowly missed out on the Champions League, just like the Partenopei did.
Spartak Moscow and Legia Warzawa complete Group C and gives Spalletti some tough away games in this year’s group stage.

Tough draws for both, but they should be favs to qualify regardless. Hopefully they don’t put out reserve teams and embarrass Serie A even more in Europe. It’s 23 seasons since an Italian side won this cup, and that’s a shocking record.
