Italy fans celebrated the Azzurri’s EURO 2020 triumph in the streets and the main squares of the country. From the Alps to Sicily, check out the best pictures from last night.
While Giorgio Chiellini lifted the Euro Cup at Wembley, millions of Italians were singing and dancing and hugging each other in the streets of their towns.
Roberto Mancini’s men had just won the second European Championship in the history of the country, beating England on penalties at Wembley Stadium.
“It wasn’t an easy game and this one developed to become very difficult, but then we dominated it. On penalties, you need to have a bit of luck and I’m also a bit sorry for the English,” Roberto Mancini said after the end of the game.
“This team has grown a lot, I think we can still improve. We are happy for the Italians, I have no words for these guys.”
Meantime, his compatriots celebrated wildly all over the country.
