According to calcionews24, the centre-forward is wanted by several Premier League clubs, above all Newcastle, Sunderland – who had already approached Livorno in January – and Southampton.

The Saints see him as a replacement for Daniel Osvaldo, who was sent out on loan to Juventus” data-scaytid=”14″>Juventus after just six months.

His price-tag is thought to be in the region of €15m – around £12.3m.

Full name Paulo Sergio Betanin, the 28-year-old has been in Italy since 2005, playing for Livorno with loan spells at Grosseto and Sorrento.
